TEENS + PARENTS
Learning Social Media & AI Together
Open the approved poster at full size Why this matters
Young people need more than restrictions around technology. They need judgment, practical capability, creativity and guidance. Parents also need ways to understand the digital world their children inhabit, so that conversations about social media and AI can move beyond fear or uncritical excitement.
Consuming content and creating something useful are different postures. Scrolling asks what the next item will give us; creating asks what problem we can understand, what skill we can practise and whom our work may serve. Curiosity needs responsibility: truthfulness, privacy, attention, safety, authorship and love for our neighbour still matter online.
This shared Sunday invitation brings teenagers and parents into the same learning space. The poster names Damola Taiwo — Co-founder, MyMusic; Joy Eze — From campus to career through digital skills; and Dr Tunde Adegbola — Pioneer in African-language speech and AI technologies. Joy Eze is confirmed for the first service only. No service allocation has been published for the other guests.
Practical reflection
“What is one useful thing you would like to learn to create?”
Plan which service your household will attend, then invite a teenager, parent or friend. Use the questions on this page as conversation starters; they are editorial prompts, not a promise that every question will be formally answered during the programme.
